Jammu & Kashmir Government Announces Administrative Reshuffle, Transfers and Postings of Officers

The Jammu and Kashmir government has initiated a reshuffle within the civil administration, resulting in the transfer and posting of five officers, including two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers.

Among the changes, Sachin Kumar Vaishy, IAS (AGMUT:2015), who previously held the position of Deputy Commissioner in Udhampur, has been reassigned as Deputy Commissioner in Jammu. Simultaneously, Saloni Rai, IAS (AGMUT:2016), has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner in Udhampur. This transition follows an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD).

Further movements in the administrative structure include Ajay Bharti, JKAS, who has been transferred from his previous role as Deputy Director, Estates in Jammu to his new position as Assistant Commissioner (Central) under the Divisional Commissioner in Jammu.

The changes also extend to the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers. Zeenat Ara, JKAS, previously the Programme Officer for ICDS Project in Srinagar, has been reassigned as Joint Director of Employment in Kashmir. Additionally, Syed Sajad Qadri, JKAS, Programme Officer for ICDS Project in Budgam, will take on additional responsibilities as Programme Officer for the ICDS Project in Srinagar.

Rajinder Singh Tara, JKAS, who served as the Director General of Command Area Development in Jammu, has now been transferred and appointed as Custodian General for J&K. He will also hold the position of Director General of Command Area Development in Jammu alongside his new role.

The reshuffle also covers Deepika Kumari Sharma, JKAS, who was serving as Secretary in the Jal Shakti Department and held an additional charge as Executive Director of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society. Under the recent orders, she will remain in her current posting, despite being under orders of transfer as Custodian General, J&K, according to Government Order No. 875-JK(GAD) of 2023 dated July 18, 2023.

These changes have been made to ensure a smooth administrative transition and are expected to take effect immediately.
