In a momentous achievement, a young individual hailing from Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir has secured the seventh rank in the highly esteemed UPSC civil services examination. The much-anticipated results were announced on Tuesday, eliciting immense joy and pride throughout the region.

Waseem Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Anantnag’s Dooru area, had previously attained the 225th rank in last year’s examination. However, this year, he surpassed all expectations and claimed the seventh rank, a remarkable feat by any measure.

Mohammad Yusuf Bhat, Waseem Ahmad Bhat’s father, expressed his elation and gratitude for this outstanding achievement, saying, “My son had qualified for the exam last year. Previously, his rank was 225 but now it is seven. I am delighted. It is an inspiring and happy news for Anantnag as well as Kashmir. We are all very thankful to God.”

Mohammad Yusuf Bhat further stated that the family had always harbored the desire for their son to become an IAS officer, remarking, “Today, God has fulfilled all our wishes.” He highlighted his son’s relentless hard work and dedication, which helped him achieve this remarkable success despite their modest financial circumstances. “His hard work and dedication helped him achieve success,” the father said.

The achievement of Waseem Ahmad Bhat was met with congratulations from various political parties, including the National Conference (NC) and Apni Party. The NC took to Twitter to extend their heartfelt congratulations, stating, “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Waseem Ahmad Bhat from Anantnag district for securing the 7th rank, and to Prasanjeet Kour from Poonch district for securing the 11th rank in the UPSC CSE 2022 Final Result.” The party also conveyed their best wishes to those who couldn’t make it to the final list, stating, “To those who were unable to achieve their desired outcome, we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors and trust that they will find success in whatever path life unfolds before them.”

Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari also expressed his pride and felicitations, remarking, “I extend my heartiest greetings to the UPSC aspirants from J&K for qualifying for the exam with flying colors.
