Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education Introduces Revised Textbooks and Syllabi for Academic Session 2023-24

Jammu & Kashmir, May 30, 2023 – The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has recently announced the introduction of revised textbooks and syllabi for the Academic Session 2023-24. The changes will be implemented in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh. The revised titles and syllabi will come into effect from the upcoming academic session.

In a notification issued by the board, it has been stated that the new textbooks, syllabi, and courses of study will be utilized for the Annual (Regular) Examination, 2024, scheduled to take place in the month of March-April. This move aims to align the examination questions with the new/revised syllabi and courses of study, ensuring that students are well-prepared.

The following table provides details of the revised textbooks and their corresponding classes:

It is important to note that these new/revised textbooks have already been introduced and implemented for the Academic Session 2023-24. JKBOSE has taken steps to ensure the availability of these textbooks by distributing them to registered booksellers and other stakeholders. Students and parents can also find the new/revised textbooks at textbook stores located in Rehari Colony, Jammu, and Bemina, Srinagar.

Additionally, the JKBOSE website (www.jkbose.nic.in) provides access to the new syllabi of Dogri for Class 10th and Hindi for Class 12th. Students and teachers can refer to the website for detailed information and to familiarize themselves with the updated curriculum.

The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education aims to provide quality education and ensure that students receive the necessary resources to excel in their studies.
